Every pupil is a member of one of the four houses at St Augustine’s, which include Egyptians, Romans, Tudors and Victorians. Each house has an elected House Captain and Vice Captain.

Our very well motivated House Captains and Vice Captains meet regularly and take account of the views of their classmates and have a real influence on the life of the school.

They are excellent ambassadors for the school and contribute to the discussions on educational and other school matters. They work diligently to make a difference to school life. They meet with a designated member of staff to discuss areas of school life which the children feel could be improved. Areas they have influenced include fund raising ideas, school menus, after school clubs, improvements to the playground, dining room behaviour and more.

Last academic year, they managed to design, fund raise and purchase a house t-shirt for every pupil in the school.
