St Augustine’s is committed to educating our pupils, so that they become active, informed, creative and intelligent learners. We want them to have full awareness of their own intelligences and those of others they need to interact with. They should know how they can influence and shape their own lives and those of others. Being empowered by this knowledge, learners should develop a sense of well being and an eagerness to support and sustain the well being of their community and the wider community.

To achieve this, we focus on developing the following skills

  • Communication
  • Application of number
  • Working with others
  • Improving own learning and performance
  • Problem solving
  • Thinking skills
  • Information processing skills
  • Reasoning skills
  • Enquiry skills
  • Creative thinking skills
  • Evaluation skills
