The latest Ofsted inspection was completed in January 2007 and ranked the School Outstanding.

The latest RE report completed by the Diocese of Westminster in November 2017. The Chief Inspector of Schools, Jane Goring, said the following:

I would like to congratulate you, governors, your leadership team and staff on this wonderful diocesan inspection report!

It was a delight to read how independent observers were so impressed by the enriching educational experience provided by St Augustine’s for the pupils in our care. I was particularly taken by the richness of the prayer life and the extent to which the pupils were involved in planning worship and so making it their own – you are creating future Catholic leaders at St Augustine’s! You provide so many opportunities for the pupils to grow to become the people God created them to be and to develop compassion, notably for those on the margins of society; again the involvement of the pupils in the leadership of this aspect of school life is truly inspirational. It was also lovely to read about the innovative curriculum you have created for religious education, bringing in links with art and Spanish to make it so engaging for your pupils. What came through as a real strength was the inclusive nature of your school and the sense of belonging you create, working with parents and engaging with the parish to ensure pupils receive the best Catholic education you can offer.

As always it is the quality of leadership, the vision, clarity and inspiration of the head and her leadership team, with governors, that enables a school to move forward with such strength.

With every good wish and warmest congratulations.

Jane Goring
