The latest RE report completed by the Diocese of Westminster in July 2024. The Chief Inspector of Schools, Nancy Conoboy, said the following:

Many congratulations to you and the entire St Augustine’s school community on this excellent Catholic School Inspection report.

The report highlights how faithfully St Augustine’s responds to the call to live as a Catholic community at the service of the Church’s educational mission. It is lovely to read about the positive pupil outcomes in every area. You get a real sense that the pupils at St Augustine’s are happy, confident, and secure and actively participate in the school’s Catholic life and mission. Their engagement in charitable activities, both local and global, and their respect for pupils of other faiths demonstrate their deep understanding of and commitment to the school’s mission, ‘When God’s love enters our hearts, we grow in wisdom and understanding.’   In RE, the strong progress made by pupils, the effective use of the ‘big question’ to enhance thinking, and the creative approaches to teaching in Early Years and Key Stage 1 all contribute to the positive outcomes. The dedication of the religious education leader and the emphasis on high-quality professional development for staff clearly further strengthen the provision. Leadership at St Augustine’s is evidently dedicated and effective. The commitment of leaders and governors to ensure that the school’s mission and the Gospel message are lived out is exemplary. The strong links with the local parish and the regular engagement with parents highlight the inclusive and community-focused approach of the school’s leadership.
