RSHE

RSHE has been a statutory requirement since September 2020. As a catholic school we have to be fully aware that we teach the children RSHE in a way that follows our Catholic morals and ideologies. We follow the “Life to the Full” scheme of work designed by Ten Ten resources. “Life to the Full” is based on the structure of the Model Primary RSE Curriculum from the Catholic Education Service and this is used as a basis for all the lessons and resources. This is recognised as good practice by the DfE and it means that as a school we are fully compliant and we are delivering a programme that puts Catholic Education at the heart.

What is Life to the Full?

It’s a programme in Relationships and Health Education based on the Department of Education guidance which became statutory during the academic year 2020/21.  This programme is rooted in a Christian understanding of the human person, based on “A Model Catholic RSE Curriculum” provided by the Catholic Education Service.
